#5 Lady Vols Sweep Finals to Earn Rocky Top Invite Win

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. -- It was a dominating performance across the board for the #5 Lady Vols on day two of the Rocky Top Invite, sweeping all of their events en route to earning the trophy in the event. Following Saturday's races, the team honored its senior class.

Van Rensburg’s Shot Put Title Highlights Saturday Showings At Florida Relays

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Tennessee sophomore JL Van Rensburg smashed his outdoor personal best in the shot put on Saturday, finishing first overall as UT wrapped up competition at the 2026 Pepsi Florida Relays. The South African standout notched his PR in the sixth round with a throw of 19.76 meters (64-10) to earn the victory in the meet's invitational section.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The No. 15 University of Tennessee women's tennis team (11-8, 6-7) dropped a 4-0 decision Saturday to the No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs.

2026 Naismith Hall of Fame Class Includes Four Lady Vols

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame officially announced its 2026 class on Saturday, and University of Tennessee women's basketball legends Chamique Holdsclaw and Candace Parker are among the individual inductees. Also going in as members of the 1996 U.S. Women's National Team are two more UT standouts, including the late Nikki McCray-Penson and Carla McGhee.
