2001 Coca-Cola Big Orange Caravan
Q: What is the Coca-Cola Big Orange Caravan?
A: The Coca-Cola Big Orange Caravan is an opportunity for VASF Donors and UT letterwinners to join members of The University of Tennessee Athletics Department for golf, food, fun and fellowship.
Q: Can you tell me anything about the golf tournament?
A: The Coca-Cola Big Orange Caravan golf events are only open to VASF Donors, UT letterwinners and their guests. Each VASF Donor/Letterwinner is allowed to bring one non-donor guest. This provides an exclusive opportunity for you to spend more time with the head coaches of the Volunteers football and basketball teams, Phillip Fulmer and Buzz Peterson, as well as other UT coaches and athletics department officials. The format of each tournament will be determined by the local organizer at each tournament site and will be announced prior to the event.
Q: What happens at the Dinner event?
A: After your round of golf, be sure to attend the evening meal with your families and friends. It will include a program with the head coaches as well as the Voice of the Vols, Bob Kesling. It is another opportunity to meet the coaches and gather insight on last seasons successes and their predictions on the season to come. The dinner event is not only for golfers and their families. They are for any Tennessee fans\ that would like to attend. The more the merrier! Please note that some of the sites only have dinner events.
Q: How do I join the fun?
A: Check the schedule listed for the date and location that is most convenient for you. Then, fill out the golf tournament registration form or call the contact person for the site you have selected to make your reservation. Finally, mail the registration form to the corresponding name and address listed on the schedule for the site you have selected.
If you have any further questions, call the contacts listed for the event you are interested in attending. Or, feel free to contact the Volunteer Athletic Scholarship Fund (VASF) office at (865) 974-1218 or vasf@utk.edu.
Reservations must be received no later than two weeks prior to the event that you have chosen. Due to a limited number of spaces, registration for all events will be on a FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED BASIS. If there are two other golfers that you would like to be paired with, please mail your reservations in together or attach a note stating your intentions.
