The University of Tennessee has teamed up with Kroger and Second Harvest Food Bank to help "Shoot Out Hunger" as the holiday season is nearing.
Kroger shoppers will receive four tickets to the Vols' game against the Southeastern All-Stars on Nov. 14 when they purchase a "Can Hunger Food Box" at Kroger for $7. The box of foods will be donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank.
" It is important to be involved in the community and to help out with Second Harvest Food Bank any way we can," said head coach Buzz Peterson, who is the spokesperson for the campaign. "This is a great opportunity that the people at Kroger have helped us put together to help those less fortunate in our community."
The promotion will be available through Nov. 14 at Kroger stores from Crossville to Pigeon Forge.
