Former major league manager and hitting instructor Jim Lefebvre will appear for the third consecutive year at the Tennessee baseball Christmas camps on the University of Tennessee campus. Also making his first appearance will be Pat Doyle of Major League Baseball International. This excellent opportunity to get a jump start on spring training will be held Dec. 27-28 for ages 7-12 and Dec. 29-30 for ages 13-2004 high school seniors at a cost of $160.
Lefebvre, the 1965 National League Rookie of the Year, joins Tennessee head coach Rod Delmonico and assistants Larry Simcox and Fred Corral, along with other top college and high school coaches from the Southeast in providing four days of intense instruction. Campers will be schooled in the fundamentals of hitting, infield play, outfield play, catching, pitching and base running.
During the night session, Delmonico, Simcox and Corral will lecture on recruiting while intensified hitting instruction and drills will also be offered.
