Tennessee's Allan Houston was named to ESPN's Southeastern Conference Silver Anniversary Team Tuesday during halftime of the Vols' game against Kentucky.
Houston finished his UT career as the Vols' all-time leading scorer with 2,801 points, ranking second in SEC history to LSU's Pete Maravich.
A four-time All-SEC selection, Houston led the league in scoring with a 22.3-point average during his senior campaign. He averaged 21.9 points during his four-year collegiate career at Tennessee.
Houston, a 10-year NBA veteran, is one of the league's top scorers, averaging 20.3 points this season for the New York Knicks. He became the second UT player, joining Ernie Grunfeld, to represent the United States in the Olympic Games at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Joining Houston on the five-man Silver Anniversary team were: G-Chris Jackson (LSU), F-Jamal Mashburn (Kentucky), F-Chuck Person (Auburn) and C-Shaquille O'Neal (LSU)
The team was compiled through a vote of a seven-member panel comprised primarily of media and conference representatives in celebration of the network's 25th season dating back to the 1979-80 season.
