Mike, I just got your e-mail about treating Bama fans with respect on their trip to Knoxville. Just to let you know, my family is hosting a Bama family that also lives in our neighborhood here in Dallas, to watch the game and break bread together. We're not doing this to make up for the lawyer-driven poison between the schools - we're doing it because we both love our teams, love the atmosphere of college football and the SEC, and in an area dominated by Big 12 fans, to bring some comraderie. I went to Ole Miss and was treated very nicely and my seats were in the Ole Miss section, which is how I've been treated at almost all the conference venues I've visited (Miss St., both Arkansas, LSU, Auburn, Georgia, and South Carolina, Legion Field). Florida's the exception but it wasn't too bad - just a few bad apples. Finally, the 8pm kickoff is a little late as I learned 1st hand in Oxford. A buddy and I were staying in Tunica, got out of traffic quickly (stayed until the last tick of the clock) and didn't get to Tunica until almost 2 am. We were too tired to gamble (ha ha) so we gambled Sunday morning before the 7-hour drive to Dallas. But I'd rather be on TV at 8 pm because the networks like our program, than not be on TV at all (eg. Vandy) because we aren't very good. Best of luck to the Vols against our rival Alabama, and it's always good to see the other teams doing well too! Mike Evans Dallas, Tx
