Why doesn't Tennessee have a mens soccer team?
Tyler Gibson
Greensboro, NC
Mike Hamilton: Hi Tyler,
Thanks for your e-mail. I would be very interested in adding men's soccer; however, it costs about $500,000 to $1 million to add a sport after you add up salaries, recruiting, travel budgets, scholarships, etc., and if we add a sport for men's, we would need to add a sport for women's (at an additional $500,000 to $1 million), so at the moment it's a matter of revenue availability. Hopefully we will be able to add the sport in the near future.
Thanks for your support of Tennessee.

I was just wondering at what time(s) will we(UT students) be able to pick up our tickets for the UNLV game here on campus. And I also was wondering, will we as fans, be able to purchase the retro adidas replica jerseys that the team will be wearing in that UNLV game on Sept. 5?
Jameson Bouldin
Knoxville, Tennessee (Resident Student)
Mike Hamilton: Hi Jameson,
The student tickets were made available today in the lower level of the UC. They will be available until next Wednesday. You can also sign up for our new student group, Orange Nation (Matt Wells at 974-1218), which would give you priority seats for the games. The Orange Nation is our new collegiate pep club. We currently have over 1,000 students enrolled. Part of the benefits include sideline seating for football games.
As for the replica retro jersey, those are now available in Tennessee Traditions located in Stokely Athletic Center. In the next week, they will have the capability to personalize a jersey with your name on it.
Thanks for your support of Tennessee.

Mike, I would like to express my appreciation towards Justin Gatlin and how he conducted himself at the Olympics. You sould think about having him to a football game and recognizing him. Thank you for you time.
Grant
Nashville, TN
Mike Hamilton: Hi Grant,
Thanks for your e-mail. We were very impressed with how all of our current and former Vols represented our great university in the Olympics. We are inviting Justin as well as our other gold medal winners back for the Kentucky game and hope they will all be able to work it into their schedules.
Thanks for supporting Tennessee athletics.
