The Tennessee baseball team is scheduled to begin fall practice Monday, Sept. 26, at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Monday's practice opens a full schedule of fall workouts that culminates in the annual Orange and White Game at a date yet to be determined.
"Everyone is really looking forward to hitting the field," head coach Rod Delmonico said. "We've got a solid group of returning veterans and a really promising crop of newcomers. It will be interesting to see how we come together during fall practice."
A trio of 2005 Freshman All-Americas -- left-handed pitcher James Adkins, catcher J.P. Arencibia and outfielder Julio Borbon -- highlights the Vols' 28-man fall roster. Tennessee also returns starters Craig Cobb, Kelly Edmundson, Chris Kemp (2004) and Michael Rivera.
Last season, Tennessee went 46-21 (18-11 SEC) and advanced to the NCAA College World Series for the fourth time in school history and third time in Delmonico's tenure.
