The Tennessee men's golf team will play in its second tournament this season when it travels to Birmingham, Ala. to participate in the Shoal Creek Invitational hosted by UAB.
The Big Orange got off to a record start this season, setting numerous tournament records on its way to a 32-stroke win at the Coca-Cola Tournament of Champions. UT golfers Lloyd Campbell and Philip Pettitt also tied for top individual honors at the TOC.
Campbell will play at the No. 1 position for the Vols. The UT senior fired a 66-67-68 to finish 12-under-par at the TOC. Campbell along with Pettitt broke the previous three-round record low by a Tennessee player by three strokes.
Pettitt is the No. 2 man for the Volunteers. Pettitt fired a final round 66 to make up the two-stroke deficit he was behind Campbell going into the final round and tie his teammate for individual honors.
Jonathan Mount occupies the No. 3 position. The sophomore was one of three Volunteers to fire an opening round 66 at the TOC. Mount finished fourth overall at the TOC.
Chris Paisley starts at the No. 4 position. Paisley competed as an individual at the TOC but his 66 in the final round vaulted him into a tie for eighth place. This will be Paisley's first tournament participating as a Vol.
Ben Spickard rounds out the Volunteer lineup. The redshirt-freshman from Roswell, Ga., shot a one-under-par 212 at the TOC.
Monday's first of two rounds tees off with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday's third and final round will begin at 8:15 with the leaders beginning at 10:22 a.m. The 54-hole tournament is on a par-72, 7,145-yard course.
