VOLS HEAD TO FLORIDA FOR ISLEWORTH INTERCOLLEGIATE

The seventh-ranked Tennessee men's golf team travels to Orlando, Fla., today for the third annual Isleworth Intercollegiate. The 54-hole tournament is hosted by the University of Central Florida and runs Sunday through Tuesday.
Taking place at the Isleworth Golf and Country Club, the tournament will boast 16 of Golfweek's top 50 teams. The field includes SEC foes Georgia, Florida, Kentucky and South Carolina along with Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Wake Forest, Duke, Texas A&M, North Carolina, Georgia State, Arizona, Florida State, Texas, Texas Tech and Central Florida.
Tennessee's invitation to this tournament will mark its first appearance in the Isleworth. The Vols look to build on their first-place finish last weekend at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate at the Ridges in Jonesborough, Tenn. Georgia has won the team title the last two years.
Philip Pettitt mans the No. 1 position for the Big Orange. The junior was the Vols top finisher in their last tournament, taking home a second place finish with a total score of 214 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Charlie Ford will stand at No. 2 for Tennessee. Ford fired a 73-71-71--215 to finish tied for third in last week's tournament.
Chris Paisley is at No. 3 for the Vols. The sophomore has a scoring average of 73.78 on the season.
John Brannen fills the No. 4 hole for UT. Brannen had a tournament scorecard of 75-75-76--223 at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Freshman David Holmes will be at the No. 5 position. This marks Holmes' first competition as a Volunteer.
Teams play 18 holes each day with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. Eastern Time. Live results can be found at www.golfstat.com or www.isleworthcollegiate.com.
Vol senior Tino Weiss will not compete in this tournament as he will be competing with the Swiss World Amateur team at the World Amateur Team Championships in South Africa. The 72-hole tournament takes place Oct. 22-25 at Stellenbosch Golf Club.
