VOLS SIXTH AFTER TWO ROUNDS AT ISLEWORTH INTERCOLLEGIATE

The seventh-ranked Tennessee men's golf team sits tied for sixth after two rounds at the Isleworth Intercollegiate played Monday at Isleworth Golf and Country Club in Windermere, Fla. The Volunteers fired a 10-over-par 298 in the second round to give them a tournament scorecard of 293-298--591.
Chris Paisley and Philip Pettitt continue to pace the Vols as the two again fired identical scores of 2-over-par 74 for 54-hole totals of 146. The pair remain tied for 12th.
Junior Charlie Ford fired the best round for Big Orange. Ford shot a 1-under-par 71 to jump 33 spots and finish the day tied for 22nd.
Knoxville native David Holmes was next for Tennessee. Holmes shot a 9-over-par 81 and is tied for 70th.
John Brannen rounded out the lineup for the Volunteers. Brannen fired a 7-over-par 79 to stand in a tie for 81st place.
Texas fired a second round 3-under-par 285 to jump three spots and take the lead for the team title. Oklahoma State fired a 2-under-par 286 to finish the second day one stroke back of Texas. Florida is in third with Clemson and Kentucky rounding out the top five.
Florida's Toby Ragland keeps his one stroke lead over second place after firing a 1-under-par 71 for a 54-hole total of 140. Georgia's Brian Harman remains in second place with a total score of 141. Wake Forest's Dustin Groves fired a 5-under-par 67 to jump into third place with a total score of 142.
