TENNESSEE ATHLETICS BUDGET OVERVIEW

The Tennessee Athletic Department released the budget overview to better communicate with the public about where the athletic department's money comes from and how it is spent. The athletic department remains fully self-supporting and receives no state tax dollars.

It marks the first baseball game to be hosted inside Neyland Stadium since the stadium opened in 1921.

Tennessee Athletics will host its fourth annual Champions Weekend, presented by Pilot, in conjunction with the home football game against Arkansas on Oct. 11. Teams and individuals who won SEC and/or NCAA championships during specific years will be invited back to Rocky Top to celebrate their achievements.

Starting in 2025, Gate 21B, also known as the family-player gate. will be renamed to Danny Burnley Gate 21B, honoring the VFL’s 50 total years of service spent with the University of Tennessee, including 42 as a full-time staff member.
