The Tennessee athletics department officially recognized on Monday the athletics board room in the McKenzie-Lawson Center in honor of Gordon Ball, a faithful supporter of the Vols and Lady Vols.
UT President Dr. John D. Petersen, senior associate athletics director John Currie and men's head basketball coach Bruce Pearl were joined by Ball and several members of his family and friends.
A nationally recognized plaintiff's attorney, Ball is a leadership donor to both UT's STEP UP campaign and Pratt Pavilion. Ball and his sons, Tanner and Tate, are fixtures at UT events, cheering on the football Vols from their Neyland Stadium skyboxes and the men's and women's basketball teams from their courtside seats inside Thompson-Boling Arena.
UT is proud to recognize the generosity of a special friend with the naming of the Gordon Ball Family Athletics Board Room.
