2: The Vols had two players with double-figure rebounds for the first time this season and first since Nov. 24, 2010 vs. VCU.

To Note
CAM, CAM, TAM, TAM
- Cameron Tatum posted his first-career double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
- Tatum had his 38th career game and fifth this season in double-figures as he netted 13 points.
- Tatum set a career-high in rebounds with 10. He previously had eight against VCU last season (11/24/10) for his former best.
MAYMON SCORES IT
- Jeronne Maymon scored in double-figures for the fifth time this season with 12 and first time since his career-high 32 points vs. No. 8 Memphis on 11/22/11. It was also his sixth-career game with 10 or more points.
- Maymon was playing his first home game since he became the first Vol since Steve Hamer in 1996 to have a 30-point, 20-rebound game as he posted 32 points and 20 rebounds against Memphis in Maui.
HALL OF A REBOUNDER
- Junior Kenny Hall grabbed 12 rebounds for his third-career game with 10 or more rebounds. His previous career-high of 11 came against South Carolina (2/6/10), two seasons ago.
DOUBLE-FIGURE BOARDERS
- The Vols had two players with double-figure rebounds for the first time all season and first time since the fourth game of last season vs. VCU (11/24/10). Against Pitt, Kenny Hall (12) and Cameron Tatum (10) each had career-highs.
GOLD STANDARD
- Trae Golden reached double-figure scoring for the seventh time in as many games this season with 12. Golden leads the Vols an 16.3 average. He is the only Vol to score in double-figures in all seven games in 2011-12.
MILLER TIME
- Playing against his former team for the first time, junior Dwight Miller racked up four points and two rebounds in 11 minutes. Miller played 16 games at Pitt in 2009-10, scoring 10 points before leaving for Midland College in Texas before signing with Tennessee for this season.
YEMI THE No. 1 SUB
- The Vols first sub of the game was Yemi Makanjuola less than three minutes into the action. He played a career-high 13 minutes for the fourth time this season.
PAINT THE TOWN ORANGE
- The Vols were strong in the paint posting 36 of their 56 overall points inside including 18 of 26 in the first half alone.
DDDDD-FENSE
- The Vols played tough defense all night holding the Panthers to just 42.2 percent from the floor.
- Tennessee held Pitt off the scoreboard for the first 3:29 of the second half as the Panthers missed their first three shots from the floor.
- UT started the game with tremendous pressure forcing Pitt into a shot-clock violation on their first possession of the contest.
