Vols to Conduct Walk-On Tryouts on Sept. 22

UPDATE 09/09/11: The application process for walk-on tryouts is closed.
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee baseball team will conduct open campus tryouts for walk-on players Sept. 22 at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tryouts will begin promptly at 6 p.m.
Student-athletes interested in taking part in baseball tryouts must meet ALL of the following criteria:
1) Must be registered for at least 12 credit hours for the fall semester at the University of Tennessee
2) Must be an NCAA qualifier*
3) Must stop by the baseball office to complete appropriate paperwork. Please bring your student ID, a copy of your most recent transcript and proof of a physical that has been conducted in the past six months.
Deadline for application is Sept. 8.
* To learn whether or not a prospective student-athlete is an NCAA qualifier, visit www.NCAAClearinghouse.net. The clearninghouse project can sometimes take two weeks or longer to complete. Only qualifiers will be allowed to take the field for tryouts.
