As Tennessee's rowing calendar draws ever nearer to the championship season, the Lady Vols are excited for a trip to face Ivy Leaguer Princeton on Saturday.
This race marks the last of UT's regular season, the third trip to Princeton in three years to face off with the perennial power Tigers.
"We're pretty excited about this weekend," said senior Hilary Epes. "Princeton has always been an important opportunity for us to show our strength against a historically top-ranked team. It's a great race for the end of the season, too, as we are excited to punctuate the season."
With the Conference USA Championships, hosted by Tennessee on Melton Hill Lake, just around the corner on May 12, the Princeton race has been the focus of the team since coming off the last competition at Michigan.
"We came back and really got together and focused our energy on sharpening our skills and power leading up to this weekend," senior Erika Lauderdale said. "We have put a lot of hard work and dedication into these weeks and know we want to have a strong showing in Princeton to help define our season."
Action begins at 9 a.m. Saturday on Lake Carnegie. Log onto UTLadyVols.com for recap and results.
