The College Rowing Coaches Association released its South All-Region Teams and National Scholar Athlete awards Tuesday, honoring five Lady Vols.
For the third-consecutive year, Erika Lauderdale was named to the First-Team All-South Region. The senior from Bartlett was a member of UT's C-USA champion V8+ shell and named to the All C-USA First Team earlier this month.
Chattanooga-native Rachel White was also tabbed to the First Team. The sophomore was also a member of UT's V8+ that claimed a league crown. It was her first All-South-Region Team selection. White was also a member of the All C-USA First Team.
Junior Erika Johnson received Second-Team honors, as well as being named a National Scholar-Athlete for the second-consecutive year. The Victoria, British Columbia, native was also a fixture in UT's first varsity eight all season. Johnson is majoring in biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology. She was also a member of the All C-USA First Team.
Sophomore coxswain Rachel Clagett also received Scholar-Athlete honors. The Brentwood native is studying graphic design. She and Johnson were both members of the C-USA All-Academic Team.
Phoenix, Ariz., native Jessica Burns was also selected as a CRCA Scholar-Athlete. The sophomore is studying psychology.
