TENNESSEE TIDBITS

Tennessee picked up its sixth series sweep over Vanderbilt in the last 13 years. The Vols recently swept Vandy in 2001, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2011. During that span the Commodores twice the Vols just twice: in 2005 and 2010.

The Vols 113 wins over the Commodores are the most by UT over any program. The 183 games in the series represent the second-most played series in Tennessee history with the Vols holding a 113-70 lead. Only the Kentucky series (215) games has been played more.

Tennessee won the first meeting this year, 58-57, holding off a late charge by Vanderbilt on Jan. 29, 2013.

NEW LINEUP

The Vols started their sixth different lineup of the season as it was first time Trae Golden and Armani Moore started in a lineup at the same time. Also starting were Josh Richardson and Jarnell Stokes who have started all 23 games this season. They were joined by Jrodan McRae, who started for the 11th game in a row.

Golden returned to start for the first time since the Ole Miss game on Jan. 9. He had not started in nine games (seven off the bench and two missed due to injury).

The first sub of the game for the Vols was Skylar McBee at the 16:37 mark of the first half, as he replaced Josh Richardson.

STOKES KEEPS ON ROLLING

Sophomore Jarnell Stokes recorded his sixth consecutive double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.

Stokes now leads the SEC in double-doubles with 10. He passed Ole Miss' Murphy Holloway (9) and Johnny O'Bryant (9) of LSU.

Stokes' 10 double-doubles are the most in a season by a Vol since Steve Hamer had 10 in the 1994-95 season. The Vols' Jeronne Maymon had nine double-doubles last season, the most since Hamer's mark.

Stokes has scored in double-figures in 15 games this season and 23 in his career.

D-UP

The Vols allowed just 46 points, tying for the second-fewest allowed in the Cuonzo Martin era at Tennessee. UT allowed just 37 to Georgetown on Nov. 30, 2012 and followed that up, allowing just 46 to Virginia in the next game on Dec. 5, 2012. Tennessee lost both of those games.

This is the fewest points the Vols have allowed in a win under Martin. The previous low was 47 vs. Xavier earlier this year in a 51-47 win on Dec. 29, 2012.

GOLDEN WITH ANOTHER NUGGET

After missing two games due to a hamstring injury, Trae Golden had his second strong game in a row in his return to action. Golden tallied 12 points including 11 in the first 11 minutes of the game. Golden had 16 at South Carolina on Feb. 13, coming off the bench. He returned to start for the first time in more than a month at Vanderbilt.

Golden scored in double-figures for the 11th time this season and 38th time in his career.

Golden has 28 points in the last two games after tallying a total of six in his previous two games, which he played in.

McRAE's FIRST DOUBLE-DOUBLE

Jordan McRae had his first-career double-double with 14 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

His previous career-high in rebounds was eight, accomplished twice, most recently vs. Presbyterian (12/18/12).

For McRae, it was his 15th game this season in double-figures and 29th in his career. He had 14 games with 10-plus last season.

FIRST-HALF SCORING

The Vols tallied 40 first-half points, their most in a first-half of an SEC game this season, surpassing the previous best of 37 vs, Mississippi State (1/19/13).

Tennessee had its most points in an SEC game first half since netting 47 vs. Arkansas last season on Feb. 15, 2012.

CHIEVOUS FOR THREE!

Redshirt freshman Quinton Chievous made his second collegiate 3-pointer with a trey at 6:29 left in the first half. He came into the game 1-of-10 on 3-pointers. The only other trifecta he made came vs. Oklahoma State on Nov. 16.

TAKING THE CHARGE

Armani Moore drew a charge less than three minutes into the game. It was his fourth drawn charge of the season and 39th of the season for the Vols.
