Tennessee's Last Meet: Tennessee's men won every event they swam in en route to a convincing victory at UNC Wilmington two weekends ago. Early on, records were shattered, thanks to David Heron's breakout swim in the 1000 Freestyle. His mark shattered the 19-year-old UNCW pool record and placed him eighth in UT history. In the diving well, Mauricio Robles and Michael Howell finished in the top two spots in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events. Meanwhile, several newcomers made instant impacts for the Vols. Peter John Stevens won the 100-yard breaststroke, while Tennessee native Sam McHugh took first place in the 200 Individual Medley.
First Time for Everything: This is the first time Tennessee has played both Queens University and the University of North Carolina since the combination of the programs, since Matt Kredich became the program head coach and since Tennessee moved into the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. UT will head to Charlotte for the Royal Open Thursday before traveling up to Chapel Hill to open up UNC's dual meet season Friday.

Tennessee's Last Meet: Tennessee's ladies also opened up the season in style, winning every race they competed in on their way to another convincing victory in Wilmington. Several newcomers led the way for Tennessee as well. Transfer Sarah Chewning won both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard competitions, with teammate Samantha Lera rounding up the UT sweep. Freshman Alex Cleveland swam away with the 50-yard freestyle, while fellow first-year Micah Bohon earned the victory in the 200-yard breaststroke. The veterans also stepped up. Morgan Dickson matched Heron's 1000-yard freestyle victory with a convincing first-place victory of her own, while Madison Hahn took the 200-yard freestyle going away. Reigning 2014 All-Americans Faith Johnson (100 Buetterfly) and Molly Hannis (100 Breaststroke) also earned convincing wins for the Big Orange.
Rocky Top North Carolina?: This fall, Tennessee swimming and diving will be spending almost an equal amount of time in the Tar Heel State as it will back home in Knoxville. Besides the meet in Wilmington and this upcoming road trip, Tennessee will head back to Chapel Hill in November for the Nike Cup before driving east on I-40 to Greensboro in December for Winter Nationals---that's not including the women's trip to NCAAs to Greensboro in March.
