Burdick, Reese Earn Top Honors At VOLSCARS

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Women's basketball's Cierra Burdick and men's tennis' Hunter Reese took home the biggest honors as Ms. Tennessee and Mr. Tennessee at Monday night's VOLSCARS awards.
Here's a look at the award winners and nominees from the event held at the Knoxville Convention Center.
COMEBACK OF THE YEAR
WINNER
-Football: Tennessee rallied from down 42-28 with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter to post a stunning 45-42 overtime victory at South Carolina on Nov. 1, 2014. At the time, the win was the most unlikely of the college football season according to ESPN as the Vols had a 0.09 percent chance of winning, being down by 14 with 2 minutes to play in regulation.
NOMINEES
-Women's Soccer: Fighting for a SEC Tournament postseason berth, Tennessee rallied to beat Ole Miss in overtime to qualify for the SEC Tournament. Then UT rallied from down 2-0 in the SEC Tournament First Round to beat Alabama, 3-2. In the SEC Quarterfinals, Tennessee upset #8/#2 seed Florida, winning in penalty kicks.
-Women's Tennis: Rallied from down 3-0 to post an epic 4-3 win over #24 Auburn under the lights on April 11, 2014, as Joanna Henderson clinched the win 7-6, 2-6, 6-3.
-Men's Basketball: Down by five points with 15 seconds to go on the road at rival Vanderbilt, the Volunteers rallied to force overtime before escaping Memorial Gym with a thrilling 76-73 victory over the Commodores.
- Women's Basketball: The Lady Vols rallied from down by as many as 17 points with 6:34 left in the second half to post a 73-69 overtime win over Gonzaga in the Sweet 16 to advance to the Elite Eight.
