KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Former Volunteer Chris Paisley finished 4-under at the European Tour’s Made in Denmark golf tournament in Farso, Denmark, Aug. 20-23.
Following a pair of 3-under 68s on Thursday and Friday, Paisley entered the weekend 6-under. He totaled 11 birdies in the first and second rounds.
Paisley found himself in contention for the tournament championship following the third round on Saturday. After shooting a 5-under 66, Paisley was tied for third and four behind the leader entering the final round.
Paisley’s chances as the tournament winner diminished as he played his final round Sunday. After reaching 12-under after six holes, he double-bogeyed the par-3 7th and never recovered. He finished the tournament tied for 35th at 4-under.
The former Vol has made three consecutive cuts and finished tied for 18th in the Madeira Islands Open in early August. He has one top-five finish on the season, shooting 15-under to take third place at the BMW International Open in June.
