Karen Weekly Announced as New NFCA President

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee softball co-head coach Karen Weekly will take over as President of the National Fastpitch Coaches’ Association next year, as announced by the NFCA on Tuesday afternoon.
Weekly, who just completed her 15th season at Tennessee along with her husband Ralph Weekly, will begin her three-year term as president of the organization on Jan. 1, 2017. View the entire release on the NFCA’s official website HERE.
Since coming to Tennessee in 2002, Weekly has helped turn the Volunteers into a national power and led the program to unprecedented success. UT has made 14 trips to the NCAA Tournament (13 straight) and seven appearances in the Women’s College World Series during her tenure. The Vols have also posted five top-three national finishes (2005, 2006, 2007, 2010, 2013) under Weekly’s watch. She enters the 2017 season with 977 total victories and 754 since taking over on Rocky Top.
