Vol Hoops Media Day
October 26, 2016 | Men's Basketball
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee basketball team hosted it annual Media Day Wednesday, with dozens of reporters gathering content on this year's Volunteers.
The day's events began with a one-hour media film session conducted by second-year head coach Rick Barnes, during which he broke down clips of Tennessee's personnel and style of play.
Barnes then hosted a 20-minute press conference at the Ray and Lucy Hand Digital Studio. From there, the proceedings moved to Pratt Pavilion, where Tennessee's players, coaches and support staff visited with reporters and posed for portraits for more than an hour.
The day wrapped up with a multi-station, smoke-filled video shoot with the VFL Films crew on the court in Thompson-Boling Arena. The footage will be used for Tennessee's pregame intros this season.
The 107th season of Tennessee Basketball gets underway on Nov. 11 when the Vols play host to in-state foe Chattanooga at 7 p.m. ET. UT's lone exhibition game takes place on Nov. 3 when Slippery Rock visits Thompson-Boling Arena for a 7 p.m. ET tip.
