Tennessee Set for 9 Nationally Televised Games in 2017

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Baseball program will have nine of its regular season games featured on the ESPN family of networks, including the SEC Network, as a part of the 2017 Southeastern Conference Baseball television package.
In total, 98 Southeastern Conference baseball games have been slated to air across ESPN networks, including 75 on SEC Network.
The Volunteers will have at least nine games featured on national television, including five home matchups at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tennessee will make its 2017 TV debut on March 17 at 7 p.m. ET, as the Vols host South Carolina for the Friday night opener of conference play on SEC Network. The series finale on March 19 will also broadcast by ESPNU at 2 p.m. ET. The Orange and White will later take on Auburn on April 13 in a 7 p.m. ET start on SEC Network. Additionally, Tennessee's Thursday, May 4 and Saturday, May 6 matchups against the Arkansas Razorbacks will be broadcast via SEC Network at 7 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. ET, respectively.
Tennessee will also have four road games televised on SEC Network this season: April 8 at Florida at 6 p.m. ET (SEC Network), April 9 at Florida at 1 p.m. ET (SEC Network), April 29 at Vanderbilt at 5 p.m. ET (SEC Network) and April 30 at Vanderbilt at 4 p.m. ET (SEC Network).

The 2017 schedule features a 'Bases Loaded' special on the opening night of conference play, Friday, March 17. The show features a live compilation of seven games – all 14 teams – taking place that evening across the southeast, including Tennessee's SEC opener against South Carolina at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.
This year’s schedule also includes five television wildcard selections, allowing the SEC Network the opportunity to determine the best television matchup at a later date. The schedule closes out with SEC Network airing the entirety of the SEC Baseball Tournament May 23-27, outside of the Championship game on ESPN2 on May 28. All games on ESPN/SEC Network platforms will be broadcast in high definition.
Tennessee will open the 2017 season in Memphis with a three-game set (Feb. 17-19) against the University of Memphis at FedEx Park, home of the Tigers. The Vols will later hold their first home game of the season on Friday, March 3 against Cincinnati. SEC play begins March 17-19 when the Big Orange host the South Carolina Gamecocks on Rocky Top.
