Student-Athletes Honored At Chancellor's Banquet

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Student-athletes representing eight sports were honored on Wednesday night at the Chancellor's Honors Banquet.
A total of 20 Tennessee student-athletes were named as recipients of the Scholar-Athlete Award at the annual ceremony that celebrates the hard work and achievements of UT students, faculty and staff.
Women's swimming and diving led the way with five honorees, Amanda Carter, Caroline Finkbeiner and Madison Hahn, Faith Johnson, and Cherelle Thompson, while rowing was second with four, Kaitlin King, Harper Lucas, Morgan Suffridge and Allison Toth.
Four student-athletes, Caroline Duer from track and field, Derek Lance from baseball, Thompson and Toth were honored for a second time, each having picked up a Scholar-Athlete Award in 2015.
