MEN'S TENNIS CENTRAL: Tulsa

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee men's tennis team hosts Tulsa on Friday in the team's only scheduled indoor night match of the season at Goodfriend Tennis Center.
First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m., and admission is free. Parking is available in Lot C-11 off Volunteer Boulevard.
The Vols (6-2) are coming off a 6-1 home victory over Tennessee Tech. Tulsa (4-4) is coming off losses in the ITA Kick-Off Weekend to Kentucky and Columbia.

SINGLES & DOUBLES RANKINGS UPDATE
- The new Oracle/ITA collegiate rankings were released earlier this week, with the Vols checking in with sophomore Timo Stodder returning to the singles ranking at No. 118.
- In doubles, senior Jack Schipanski and junior Luis Valero moved up two spots to No. 24. Stodder and freshman Scott Jones climbed to a career-best No. 29.
- It is the first time two Vols have been ranked in the top 30 of doubles since Jan. 2, 2014 (Mikelis Libietis/Hunter Reese - No. 1; Jarryd Chaplin/Brandon Fickey - No. 28).
- Tulsa has two players ranked in singles: Or Ram-Harel at No. 23 and Majed Kilani at No. 115. Ram-Harel and Kilani are ranked 23rd in doubles.
CLIMBING THE DOUBLES LADDER
- With 38 wins together, Jack Schipanski and Luis Valero are now eighth for career doubles wins as a team in program history.
- It will take Schipanski and Valero a while to reach the next names ont he list. Andy Crews and three-time All-American Peter Handoyo won 47 matches together (2000-01).
- Schipanski and Valero are 13-6 this season, their second year at the top of the Vols' lineup.
HISTORY VS. TULSA
- Friday marks the fourth all-time meeting between the schools. The Vols lead the series 3-0, but this marks the first time Tennessee and Tulsa have faced in Knoxville.
- The teams last faced in Tulsa in 2014, resulting in a 4-3 victory for the Vols. Trailing in the third set, Brandon Fickey rallied to win the last three games to clinch the match 6-4, 5-6(3), 6-4 on court 3.
