OAK RIDGE, TENN. -- Tennessee wrapped up its first regatta of the spring season Sunday morning, racing against Virginia, Michigan and Michigan State at the Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational.
In the first race of the day, Tennessee's 1V8 finished fourth, covering the course in a time of 6:51.552. In the 1V4 and 2V8 races, the Volunteers finished third ahead of Michigan State with respective times of 7:35.366 and 6:52.188. Tennessee's 1N8 placed fourth in the 3V8/N8 race with a time of 7:39.673. In the 2V4 event the Vols finished third with a time of 8:11.746.
The Volunteers will remain on campus during UT's spring break this week for training camp before returning to Oak Ridge on Sunday, March 19 for an exhibition matchup with Indiana University.
