Tennessee Ranked No. 30 by NCBWA (March 13)

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Following a weekend series win over the Cincinnati Bearcats, Tennessee Baseball (11-2) broke into the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association weekly poll at No. 30, as announced by the association on Monday.
This week, Collegiate Baseball Newspaper also ranked Tennessee within its Top 30 poll at No. 24, the program's highest regular-season ranking since 2014. The Vols have continued to climb in CBN's poll since March 6, when the national outlet listed Tennessee at No. 25 in its Division I poll.
Entering their midweek games on Tuesday, March 14, the Volunteers look to continue their best season start since the 2014 campaign, when UT began the year 12-0.
As a team, Tennessee's current winning percentage (.846) ranks 11th in NCAA Division I baseball, while the Vols are ranked first in the Southeastern Conference for fewest runs allowed (44) and fewest hits allowed (95).
Offensively, UT's .323 team average is fourth-best in the SEC, while the Vols have also recorded double-digit hits in nine of its 13 games and have scored first against its opponents in 10 of 13 games.
On Deck for the Vols: Tennessee is slated for back-to-back midweek matchups, traveling to the mid-state on Tuesday, March 14 to face MTSU at 5 p.m. ET before returning home for a Wednesday, March 15 contest hosting Austin Peay at 3 p.m. ET.
