Mid-State Classic Canceled Due to Cold Weather

COLUMBIA, Tenn. -- Due to extremely cold temperatures, tonight's Mid-State Classic game between Tennessee and Auburn has been canceled.

With wind chills in the mid to high 20's expected, the coaches of both teams, the event manager and the city of Columbia, Tenn., decided to cancel the game due to safety reasons.

Both teams will still appear at the field at 6 p.m. for a hit around/home run derby open to the public and to sign autographs for any fans in attendance.

The Vols will be back in action this Friday-Sunday when they travel to Fayetteville to take on Arkansas in a three-game series.
