"We hung in there today," said Head Coach Judi Pavon. "It was a high pressure day, being the second round of the tournament. The conditions were a little better and some of the pins were easier so I knew the scoring would be a little bit lower once we got out there. Our players did well and came in with a good round."
The Big Orange recorded eight birdies and 64 pars on the day. Three of the birdies and 14 of the pars were carded by Warren. She currently leads the field with 29 pars over 36 holes.
"It started out with a bogey, but after that I played pretty well." said Warren. "I hit a lot of greens and then made some good putts so overall it was pretty good."
Warren's Round Two performance ties her for 9th place (143, -1) entering the final round.
"Blakesly has been steady," added Pavon. "She's super competitive. She played well at the SEC tournament and she's playing well again here."
Freshman Micheala Williams, who led the Vols on Day One, shot two-over to finish the round tied for 20th place (146, +2).
Improving from her first round, senior Hannah Pietila carded 71 (-1) to bring her two-day total to 153. With the score, she moved up 29 places into a tie for 56th place (+9).
Guatemala native Lucia Polo rounded out scoring for the Big Orange with a 76 (+4), tying her for 46th place (152, +8).
