AUBURN, Ala. -- No. 8/12 Tennessee was held to one hit in a 2-0 loss to No. 11/13 Auburn on Saturday at Jane B. Moore Field.Â
The Lady Vols (33-7, 5-6 SEC) kept the Tigers (35-8, 8-6 SEC) scoreless until the fourth inning, but a two-run home run from Casey McCrackin gave Auburn all it needed to take Game 2 of the series.Â
Aubrey Leach recorded the lone hit for UT on a single to left field in the sixth inning. The Lady Vols could not muster anything else offensively, however, as Auburn's Makayla Martin improved to 15-3 on the season with a complete-game, six-strikeout performance.Â
Matty Moss (15-3) went six innings for Tennessee. The junior recorded five strikeouts and allowed just two hits, but they would prove to be the difference in a low-scoring game.Â
