- Saturday's attendance at Bryant-Denny Stadium: 100,077 (sold out)
- Tennessee's all-time on-field record fell to 891-419-53 with Saturday's loss (NCAA record: 880-419-53).
- Saturday marked the 108th all-time meeting between the Volunteers and Crimson Tide in a rivalry that has been billed The Third Saturday In October since 1939.
- The Alabama series is the third-longest in UT history (108 games) behind Kentucky (120) and Vanderbilt (118). Alabama improved its record in the series to 61-40-7.
- The Vols have put up at least 20 points in Josh Heupel's first five meetings vs. the Tide. It's the first time UT has put up at least 20 in five straight meetings since 1995-2001.
- Tennessee's team captains for Saturday's game: LS Bennett Brady, LB Arion Carter, TE Miles Kitselman, DL Jaxson Moi
- Alabama won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Tennessee received the opening kickoff and Alabama defended the north end zone.
- The Vols outgained the Crimson Tide, 410-373, during Saturday's contest. UT has put up 400 or more yards of total offense in all seven games this season and 44 times during the Josh Heupel era (2021-present).
- UT posted 268 yards through the air, which were the most allowed by Alabama in 2025.
- Senior QB Joey Aguilar finished Saturday's contest completing 28-of-44 passes for 268 yards with one touchdown and one interception. His 28 completions were a season-high and tied the most in a single game during the Josh Heupel era (2021-present).
- Aguilar has thrown for at least 200 yards in all 31 of his career FBS starts, which is the longest current streak in the country.
- Aguilar has at least one touchdown pass in all seven games this season and has thrown at least one touchdown pass in 18 consecutive games dating back to his 2024 opener while playing for App State.
- Redshirt sophomore RB DeSean Bishop went over the century mark on the ground for the second straight game and third time in his career, finishing with 123 rushing yards on 14 attempts.Â
- On Tennessee's first offensive drive of the second half, Bishop broke off a 44-yard touchdown run to pull the Vols within 10 points of Alabama. The play was the longest rushing touchdown for Tennessee this season.
- Bishop now owns three career rushing TDs of 40-plus yards after dashing for 53- and 47-yard scores last season vs. Kent State on Sept. 14, 2024.
- Redshirt freshman WR Braylon Staley led all receivers on Saturday with a career-high 10 receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. His 10 catches were the most by a Vol since Squirrel White also had 10 vs. Vanderbilt on Nov. 25, 2023.
- Tennessee posted its eighth takeaway via fumble recovery of the season when senior DL Joshua Josephs pounced on a loose ball midway through the third quarter. The Vols have generated at least one fumble takeaway in six of seven contests this season.
- Five UT players combined for four tackles for loss during Saturday's contest.
- Redshirt senior DL Bryson Eason, junior LB Jeremiah Telander and senior DL Jaxson Moi each posted solo TFLs during the first, second and fourth quarters, respectively.
- Freshman DB Ty Redmond and Joshua Josephs combined for a TFL early in the third stanza.
- All three of redshirt sophomore P Jackson Ross' punts were fielded inside the 15-yard line. He averaged 46.3 yards per punt, including a long of 52 yards.
- His third punt of the night went for 43 yards and was downed at the Alabama 1-yard line late in the third quarter.
- Redshirt sophomore PK Max Gilbert made both of his PATs, improving to 90-of-90 for his career.
