October 02, 2025 | Swimming & Diving
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Coming off a pair of top five finishes at the 2025 NCAA Championships, the Vols and the Lady Vols are about to get back in action. The Tennessee Swimming and Diving team has announced its schedule for the 2025-26 season on Thursday.
Tennessee opens the campaign on the road, as they travel to Austin, Texas to face defending SEC men's and women's champion Texas on October 24. Following this season-opening dual, Tennessee returns to Rocky Top for its home opener, hosting SEC-foe Auburn and Louisville on October 30. This marks the fifth consecutive year that Tennessee and Louisville have met during the regular season. Louisville took last season's match-up, taking both contents on the men's and women's sides.
After a short break, the Big Orange return to the pool as they host the inaugural CSCAA Power 4 Dual Meet Challenge from November 21-23. The Challenge will see four of the premier programs in the country compete in Knoxville, as Arizona State, Michigan, Virginia join the Vols and Lady Vols in a double-elimination bracket-style dual meet format. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three meets, with the championship culminating in high-stakes, head-to-head match-ups that highlight both individual excellence and team depth.
Tennessee closes out the 2025 calendar with a home dual match against Kentucky on December 11. This marks the third-straight season the Vols and Lady Vols have gone up against the Wildcats, with the Lady Vols taking both previous meetings and the Vols splitting their two contests.Â
Tennessee opens 2026 as it hosts the Tennessee Invitational, hosting some of the best programs around the country at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The event will span over three days, taking place January 7-9. The competition routinely hosts some of the best swimmers and divers from across the nation.
The Vols and Lady Vols return to conference meets on January 24, traveling to Athens, Georgia to meet the Georgia Bulldogs. The two programs met last season in Knoxville, where the Lady Vols took a dominating win at home.
To close out the regular season, Tennessee hosts a two-day meet against Duke from January 30-31. The two teams met last season in Durham, with the Vols and Lady Vols taking the victory. The meet serves as an important contest as the programs prepare for postseason action.
The Big Orange will stay home to begin postseason competition, as Tennessee hosts this year's SEC Championships February 17-21. Tennessee last hosted the conference championship in 2022, with the Lady Vols winning the conference crown. Both programs had strong performances in last season's conference meet, both finishing the competition in third place.
UT will host a Last Chance Meet on Feb. 27 & 28, a contest for athletes looking to secure their spot at NCAAs. The divers head down I-75 to Atlanta for the NCAA Zone B Diving Championships to lock-in their spot at NCAAs.
The NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships will take place March 18-21, with the men's championship following on the 25-28. Both meets will take place at the McAuley Aquatic Center on the campus of Georgia Tech.
The men's roster returns Gui Caribe and Martin Espernberger. Caribe is coming off a pair of third-place finishes in the 50 and 100 freestyle at last year's NCAA Championship, and was a member of last year's 200 and 400 meter freestyle relay team alongside returner Nikoli Blackman. Last year's 400m relay team broke the NCAA record in the event, finishing with a time of 2:42.30
The women enter the season coming off back-to-back top five finishes for the first time in program history. Multiple 2025 All-American Camille Spink returns this season. McKenzie Siroky also returns this season after finishing third in the 100m breast at last season's NCAA Championships.
