Women’s Tennis Announces Spring Schedule
October 03, 2025 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee head women's tennis coach Alison Ojeda announced the team's 2026 spring schedule on Friday.
The slate features eight SEC matchups at home, a marquee non-conference home matchup and one ITA event hosted in the Goodfriend Tennis Center.
Tennessee enters the 2026 spring dual season coming off a second straight NCAA Elite Eight finish, and a No. 9 end of season ITA ranking in 2025. Seniors Catherine Aulia, Leyla Britez Risso and Vanesa Suarez return much of last season's production. They enter their final campaigns as ITA's No. 19, No. 34 and No. 121-ranked singles players, respectively.
The Lady Vols will host an invitational tournament on the weekend of January 9-11 before facing ACC foe Wake Forest in Knoxville on January 17.
The Goodfriend Tennis Center will then serve as a host site for the ITA Kickoff weekend. Tennessee will face Clemson in the first round before meeting either Washington or Pepperdine, depending on first-round results.
The first road trip of the spring will be to either Evanston, Ill. or Champaign, Ill. for ITA's National Indoor Championships, pending qualification. Opponents and site assignments are not finalized for ITA's signature indoor event.
The early challenges lead into the conference slate, which will begin with a matchup against Kentucky in Knoxville. The Lady Vols will also host Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Missouri, Ole Miss and LSU for regular-season conference affairs.
The Lady Vols will spend four weekends on the road during the conference slate, with outings scheduled against Mississippi State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Texas, South Carolina and Georgia on the calendar.
The postseason will begin with the SEC Tournament, contested from April 15-19 in Norman, Okla. Once the NCAA Tournament field is set, the first- and second-round matchups will take place from May 1-3. NCAA third-round matchups will take place at regional host sites on May 8 and 9. The NCAA Elite Eight, Final Four and Championship matchups will take place from May 14-17 in Athens, Ga.
