#3/4 Tennessee Secures 11th Shutout of Season With 0-0 Result at Oklahoma

NORMAN, Okla. - The No. 3/4 Tennessee soccer team secured its 11th shutout of the season after earning a 0-0 result on the road at Oklahoma.
UT (11-1-2, 5-1-1 ) is just one shutout shy of the program's single-season shutout record after earning a clean sheet against the Sooners (9-3-3, 2-3-2). Additionally, The Lady Vols extended their unbeaten streak to six matches and maintain a +27 goal-differential through 14 matches.
Tennessee outshot OU 16-to-8 on Thursday.
Cayden Norris was once again in goal for the Big Orange and registered three saves--which puts her season total at 33. Norris' first save of the night came in the second minute of the match when Oklahoma's Hadley Murrell kicked it to the bottom left corner of the net which was the only shot on goal for either team in the opening frame.
Tennessee midfielder Mac Midgley applied some pressure after the break and put a pair of shots on goal in the 55th and 76th minutes but was unable to break through. Roughly four minutes later, Bella Smith created UT's final chance of the night, but OU's Caroline Duffy secured her third save of the game.
OU also created a pair of late chances in the 82nd and 85th minutes, but Norris secured the clean sheet and her 10th win in goal of the season. The Johnson City, Tennessee, native currently holds a 0.40 goals-against average.
UP NEXT: The Lady Vols return home and are set to host Florida Thursday in a 7 p.m. ET contest at Regal Soccer Stadium.
