KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee volleyball's Gülce Güçtekin, Caroline Kerr, and Hayden Kubik each earned recognition for their play this season by being named to the AVCA South All-Region Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
In her lone season on Rocky Top, Güçtekin was an important piece to the team's defensive success. The senior libero finished the season leading the team with 408 digs. Güçtekin finished the 2025 campaign ranking top fin in the SEC in both digs and digs per set. She had 23 matches with double-digit digs, including six with 20 or more. She set a career high with 30 digs against Kentucky on Nov. 9. This marked the first time a Tennessee player reached 30 or more digs since Yelianiz Torres had 30 against Arkansas back on Oct. 20, 2022.
Güçtekin eclipsed the 1,000 career digs threshold during the season, and finishes her collegiate career with 1,293 digs. An all-around player for her entire collegiate career, Güçtekin also finished with 423 assists and 117 aces.
