Â
"In 'Rise Glorious,' one of our top priorities is achieving competitive excellence, and our impressive winter results indicate that we are on a strong upward trajectory," said Danny White, Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics. "The championship culture we are fostering across all 20 sports highlights the exceptional talent of our student-athletes, coaches, and staff. Together, we will continue to rise on Rocky Top!"
Â
The Vols and Lady Vols are well-positioned to continue to excel this spring. Baseball, softball, men's track and field, rowing, and women's tennis are currently ranked in the Top 10 nationally. Men's golf, men's tennis and women's track and field are also ranked nationally in the Top 25.
Â
The SEC currently leads all Division I conferences with six institutions in the Top 20 – Texas (6th), Tennessee (10th), Alabama (13th), Arkansas (17th), Florida (18th) and Kentucky (20th).
Â
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. The all-sport competition dates to the 1993-94 academic year.
Â
Tennessee's best-ever Directors' Cup finish was third in 2023-24. UT's two best all-time finishes have come over the last two years following the sixth-place finish in 2022-23.
Â
As Tennessee seeks to build on its championship tradition across all sports, the ongoing My All Campaign is fueling the pursuit of enhanced championship resources to support student-athletes' academic and competitive pursuits.
