#10 Lady Vols Earn No. 10 Seed, Selected as Regional Host

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The 10th-ranked Tennessee women's tennis team garnered an NCAA Regional hosting spot for the third straight year, claiming the No. 10 overall seed.
The Lady Vols (17-7) will host the First and Second Rounds of the NCAA Team Championship for the tenth time in program history. This is the first time the Lady Vols will host for three consecutive years; previously, Tennessee has hosted the opening rounds in back-to-back years, alongside 2001-2002, 2002-2003, 2009-2010 and 2023-2024.
The Lady Volunteers will square off with Elon (18-5) in the first round of the tournament. Also heading to the Knoxville Regional are Pepperdine (12-11) and Wake Forest (15-13).
The first round matches are scheduled to take place on Friday at 1 p.m., with No. 27 Pepperdine and No. 35 Wake Forest squaring off in the first match, followed by No. 10 Tennessee and Elon facing off at 4 p.m. The lone second round match will begin at 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The 2025 NCAA DI women's tennis championship team tournament will be held May 15-18 at Hurd Tennis Center in Waco, Texas.
Weekend Schedule:
Friday, May 2
Match 1 – Pepperdine vs. Wake Forest – 1 p.m. ET
Match 2 – Tennessee vs. Elon – 4 p.m. ET
Saturday, May 3
Match 3 – Winner of Match 1 vs. Winner of Match 2 – 4 p.m. ET
All matches are scheduled to be played outdoors at Barksdale Stadium.

Gates for all three matches at the Knoxville Regional will open one hour prior to first serve.
Free spectator parking will be provided in the G-17 parking garage off Terrace and Lake Avenue.
