Starr Williams led the way with 13 kills, her third double-digit kill performance of the season. Williams was joined in double-figures by Hayden Kubik, who earned her fifth consecutive double-digit kill performance with 12. Maggie Dostic once again was money on the service line, totaling three aces in the match,
Freshman setter Izzy Mogridge stepped up in the match, finishing with a career-high 28 assists and four blocks. The Big Orange defense was on point once again, holding St. John's to just 25 kills and a .047 hitting percentage. Tennessee finished with 31 digs and added 10 total blocks. Chelsea Sutton led the way at the net, keeping up her strong start to the campaign with 6 blocks and added seven kills. Tennessee breezed through the first set, using a 10-1 run midway through the set to take a commanding 21-9 advantage. Williams and Kubik each tied for the team lead with four kills. Tennessee had a 15-7 kill advantage in the first set, while holding The Red Storm to a .045 hitting percentage.
The second frame was much of the same for the Lady Vols, dominating from the start. After trading points early on, Tennessee would take full-control of the set, in part due to a 7-0 run. Williams once again led the Lady Vols in kills, notching four in the set, and was joined by Sutton. Mogridge did her part on the floor in the second, leading the way with 13 assists.
The Lady Vols finished off the sweep with another dazzling performance in the third. Tennessee began the set on an 8-1 run, taking full-control of the third set. A late charge from St. John's late in the set would not be enough, as Tennessee would finish it off to secure the sweep. Williams finished off her match with five more kills, joined by Kubik for the team lead in the third. Mogridge dazzled yet again on offense, picking up 15 assists. The defense kept up its suffocating nature in the third, with 15 digs and four blocks. St. John's had no answer once again, with only nine kills and a .062 hitting percentage.
