Runyon Named SEC Offensive Player of the Week

Tennessee junior forward Kate Runyon was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week, the Southeastern Conference Announced Monday afternoon.

Runyon, who picked up her second career weekly honor, secured back-to-back game-winners for the Big Orange at Missouri and against LSU at home. She guided the Lady Vols to a 2-0 victory over Mizzou (9/18) after registering her first-career brace. Runyon's goal against LSU (9/21), which was her fourth of the season and third in two games, took place in the 65th minute.

Runyon is one of 10 Lady Vols to score a goal this season and one of four to register a multi-goal performance in a single match.

The Westminster, Colorado, native has consistently provided a spark for Tennessee as she's appeared in nine contests, logging 11 shots and five on frame.

Runyon and the rest of the squad are set to take on Texas A&M Friday at 7 p.m. ET for their fourth conference match of the season.
