Three Lady Vol Medals Highlight Action Packed Day Three of NCAA Championships

ATLANTA -- The Lady Vols put up a dominating performance on Friday at the NCAA Championships. The Big Orange picked up two silver medals and a bronze in a day three competition that saw four top five finishes and multiple school records broken.

Desharne Bent-Ashmeil reached new heights for the put together a strong outing in the 3-meter, earning national runner-up with a score of 382.25. The score was a personal best for the freshman diver and broke the school record previously set by Tori Lamp back in 2012. The second place finish by Bent-Ashmeil marks the best finish for a Lady Vol in the 3-meter since Tracy Bonner won the event back in 1995.

Tennessee kept up its strong week in the relays, finishing second in the 400 Medley Relay with a 3:23.79. The relay team of Jillian Crooks, McKenzie Siroky, Muzuki Hirai, and Camille Spink broke their school and SEC record in the event which they set last month at SEC Championships. This makes consecutive years that the Lady Vols placed second in the 400 Medley Relay, after the Lady Vols did so at the 2025 NCAA Championships.

Spink added some more hardware to her collection with bronze in the 50 Free. Spink tallied her second top five finish in the event, improving on her fourth place finish at last year;'s championship meet. Spink delivered the best finish in the 50 Free for a Lady Vol since 2019, when Erika Brown took second in the event.

Ella Jansen added the fourth top five finish of the day for Tennessee, placing fourth in the 500 Free. Jansen notched a time of 4:32.82, besting her previous school record in the 500 Free of 4:34.10. For Jansen, it adds to a brilliant week at the pool that has seen the sophomore earn three All-America honors.

Heading into the final day of competition, Tennessee sits fourth overall in the team rankings with a score of 240.5. The Big Orange sits just two points behind third place Stanford going into the last day of the meet.
