Tennessee Men’s Golf Selected to eighth consecutive NCAA Regional, Tabbed for Bryan Regional
May 06, 2026 | Men's Golf
The No. 16 Tennessee men's golf team will begin NCAA tournament play at the Bryan Regional, as announced during the Division I NCAA golf selection show on Wednesday afternoon.
The Vols were picked as the No. 3 seed out of 14 teams competing in the Bryan Regional. It is the program's highest placement since 2024, when Tennessee was picked as a No. 1 seed, surpassing a No. 5 seed selection in 2025.
With the team's eighth consecutive NCAA Regional appearance, the Vols have made the tournament in every season under head coach Brennan Webb, except for the 2020 tournament, which was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is the 30th NCAA Regional appearance in program history, dating back to the introduction of postseason regional qualifiers in 1989.
Last season, Tennessee advanced to the national championships from the Amherst Regional, the team's 21st all-time appearance in the national championship tournament. The Vols are seeking their third consecutive national championship appearance, as Tennessee also made the final tournament in 2024.
The Bryan Regional, as well as five other NCAA Regionals around the country, is slated to take place Monday, May 18, through Wednesday, May 20. The top five teams from each regional will then advance to the national championships, which are set to be contested at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa's Champions Course in Carlsbad, California, from May 29 through June 3.
The Vols can take momentum from various high points of the 2025-26 season into the Bryan Regional. These achievements include a season-opening win on home turf at the Visit Knoxville Collegiate, a statement victory over a highly ranked field at the Pauma Valley Invitational, three separate individual medalists, and a low amateur performance by sophomore Jackson Herrington at the 2026 Masters tournament.
The Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas will play host to the Bryan Regional, which will be hosted by Texas A&M.
