Carpenter Named UTAD's Director of Public Relations

Tiffany Utsman Carpenter has joined the University of Tennessee Athletics Department as the Director of Public Relations. In this newly created position, she will develop and implement public relations strategy for the athletics department.
Carpenter, a native of Bristol, Tenn., previously served as account supervisor at Atkinson Public Relations in Nashville, where she was responsible for overall public relations planning and execution for various clients.
" We are thrilled that somebody with Tiffany's experience in all aspects of public relations has made the decision to join our athletics department," said University of Tennessee Director of Athletics Mike Hamilton. "Tiffany will help us in our efforts to continue to stress customer service and put emphasis on the many positive things that go on with student-athletes everyday on our campus."
Prior to joining Atkinson, she served as an account executive at The Ingram Group in Nashville where she handled local and national media relations, event management and project coordination.
During her career, she has assisted with the launch of the Nashville Predators and served as community and media relations advisor for the American Basketball League's Nashville Noise.
Carpenter is a 1996 graduate of the University of Tennessee with a bachelor's
degree in public relations.
