2003 VASF Open House Reception Schedule KNOXVILLE (Jan. 21) -- Officials of the Volunteer Athletic Scholarship Fund will host an Open House Reception tonight in Abingdon, Va., for Tennessee fans. Tonight?s reception will be the first of 12 such events across the region over the next four weeks, designed to both thank Big Orange fans in the area for their support of the Vols, as well as educate them on how they can obtain priority season football tickets. The events are open to all Tennessee fans and complimentary appetizers and soft drinks will be provided. Because Neyland Stadium is sold-out on a season ticket basis, many people believe that the only way to obtain season tickets is by getting on a waiting list. This is NOT true. Each year approximately 1000 season tickets come available in Neyland Stadium and are allocated for purchase by new VASF donors. Last year, new donors at the $500 and $1000 levels received an opportunity to purchase a pair of priority season tickets. Bring a friend to the reception and both of you can learn more about becoming the newest football season ticket holder at the University of Tennessee. If you are interested in attending an event in your area, please contact the VASF Office at (865) 974-1218 or via email at vasf@utk.edu. The full schedule of events and their respective locations is as follows: So don?t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to put on your Big Orange and spend the evening with other members of the Tennessee Family. We hope to see you there! |
