Tennessee Leads No. 22 Florida at Halftime

KNOXVILLE -- Scooter McFadgon scored 12 first-half points to lead Tennessee to a 32-31 halftime advantage over No. 22 Florida.
Today's game is Tennessee's sixth against a ranked team in its last seven outings.
Matt Walsh, who hit a three-pointer at the buzzer, led the Gators with 13 points.
After Tennessee jumped out to a 4-0 lead on two Major Wingate baskets, Florida went on an 11-1 run to take an 11-5 advantage. The Gators held UT without a field goal for over five minutes during the run.
Scooter McFadgon hit consecutive three-pointers to pull the Vols even at 15-15 at the 11:32 mark to begin a 16-3 run by the Vols. Jemere Hendrix put Tennessee back in front 19-18 on two free throws with 8:59 before the half.
Tennessee increased its margin to 29-19 on two McFadgon free throws after Florida coach Billy Donovan picked up a technical foul with 3:37 remaining.
The Gators were held without a field goal for over seven minutes during the UT rally.
Tennessee is 9-1 this season when leading at halftime.
