Thirty-Five Vols To Graduate Saturday

Thirty-five (35) current University of Tennessee men's student-athletes, including quarterback C.J. Leak, basketball forward Brandon Crump, decathlete Stephen Harris are slated to participate in graduation ceremonies Saturday morning at Thompson-Boling Arena.
They will be joined by five former student-athletes, enrolled as part of the Renewing Academic Commitment (R.A.C.) program, one designed to assist former student-athletes who return to the university to complete their degrees.
"With this graduating class, we pay tribute not only to the student-athletes of today, but also to those who have come back to the University of Tennessee to earn their degrees," men's athletics director Mike Hamilton said. "This is an outstanding group, one which will do well in their chosen professions in the years to come."
Graduation ceremonies, featuring U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp (R-Chattanooga), begin at 8:30 a.m. in Thompson-Boling Arena. A reception for the student-athletes and their families will be held afterwards in the Lettermen's Room in the arena from 9:45 a.m. to 11 a.m.
