Tyler Johnson Named Assistant AD for Operations
?Tyler has worked in these specific areas as an Athletic Department employee and at the Thornton Center,? Dickey said. ?He is well versed in University of Tennessee regulations, Athletic Department procedures and NCAA rules.? Johnson, 33, served most recently as associate director of the Thornton Athletics Student Life Center, in the areas of academic advising and eligibility for football and baseball. He also had responsibility for building management and supervision. He had previously served in the Office of Student Life as administrative assistant and academic advisor for the Vols baseball program. He is a 1994 graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Lacrosse, with a degree in physical education teaching and a minor in coaching competitive athletics. He earned his master?s degree from Tennessee in sport management in 1995. Johnson?s wife,
Catherine, is an assistant athletic trainer with the Lady Vols athletic
