The University of Tennessee's 2001-02 sports calendar unofficially kicks off July 26 at the 35th annual All-Sports Picnic at Nashville's Gaylord Entertainment Center.
UT's Davidson County Alumni Chapter hosts the annual event that is expected to include special guests Joan Cronan, Doug Dickey, Phillip Fulmer, Buzz Peterson, Pat Summitt and Jack Williams, Vice President of Development and Alumni Affairs. The "Voice of the Vols," Bob Kesling will emcee the event.
Fans attending will also have an opportunity to purchase the 2001 Tennessee Football Guide.
Each year the picnic spotlights the outstanding athletic programs and coaches of The University of Tennessee. All proceeds from the event support an Alumni Scholarship for a Davidson County student.
Advanced reservations (July 21 deadline) are $15.00/person. Children under five are free. Registration at the door is $20.00/person. Reservation forms are available at all Beaman Automotive outlets.
The Gaylord Entertainment Center is located in downtown Nashville at the corner of Broadway & 5th Avenue. Beaman Automotive and AmSouth Bank are the sponsors of this event.
