![]() | STEP UP Campaign In 2003, The Lettermen?s Club voted to make a $50,000 donation to the Athletic Department?s STEP UP Campaign. STEP UP is a comprehensive capital campaign designed to raise $44.25 million for new, renovated and expanded facilities benefiting 17 of UT?s 20 men?s and women?s intercollegiate teams. These improvements are designed to enable UT to continue competing for SEC and NCAA Championships in each sport. The Lettermen?s Club is proud to support these efforts. >>COMPLETE STORY |

![]() | Thornton Academic Student Life Center In 1999, The Lettermen?s Club voted to make a $50,000 donation to the Thornton Center. The Thornton Center features state-of-the-art computer labs (48 computers, 3 laser printers and 5 scanners), individual and classroom tutorial labs, a writing center and special facilities for the learning disabled. The Thornton Center is the hub for all academic support for the UT student-athletes. The center, which opened in 2001, is dedicated in honor of John Thornton (Honorary Lettermen) and his family. The Lettermen?s Club is made up of former athletes from all sports and the Thornton Center benefits all student-athletes from all sports. >>THORNTON CENTER |

![]() | Wall of Fame On November 18, 2000, The Lettermen?s Wall of Fame was officially unveiled in front of the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex. The 80-foot wide marble monument was 3 years in the making and cost approximately $230,000. All of the money was donated or pledged by fellow lettermen. The Wall has over 5500 names of the mens and womens athletes representing every sport that has been part of the varsity athletics program. The names on the Wall are randomly engraved, sorted by decade in which an athlete lettered. The Lettermen?s Club thanks Bob Davis, Gene Moeller (deceased), Gordon Polofsky and Pat Shires for their efforts in research and organizing the Wall of Fame. >>MORE |
