Chad Copenhaver
Chad Copenhaver, an outstanding tennis player from North Carolina,
came to Tennessee in 1994 to play tennis for the Vols. He served as team captain
for two years
and was a four-year letterman. In doubles competition, he and his partner,
ranked No. 3 by the NCAA.
Copenhaver established a reputation in scholastics as well as athletics. He was
a four-time academic All-SEC member, was the tennis representative to the Student
Athletic Advisory Committee for three years, and served as a school representative
to the SEC Conference.
Copenhaver graduated in 1999 with a degree in public relations and is presently
the Director of Tennis at Cherokee Country Club in Knoxville.
Pat Reid
Pat Reid competed in the shot put for UT's Track & Field team
from 1983 to 1987 where he was co-captain his junior and senior season. He
earned
All-American
Honors in 1986 and won the Indoor SEC Championship in 1987. He still currently
holds the Indoor School Shot Put Record.
While competing for UT, Reid earned
a BS in business administration (Major: accounting) and then a Masters of accountancy
while serving as a Graduate Assistant to the Track & Field Team.
After working with national healthcare consulting firms for more than 10 years,
Reid has started his own healthcare consulting firm in Knoxville. Reid also
Chairs the Board of the Knoxville Lindsay Young Downtown YMCA.
Von Reeves
Von Reeves played tight end for the Vols from 1987-91. Reeves didn't
have to go far from his high school days to his college days, having graduated
from Knoxville Austin-East High School.
Reeves played in 33 games for the Vols
and was a part of two SEC Championship teams (1989 and 1990). One of Reeves' highlights
was a play in which the tight end became the quarterback, throwing a 47-yard
TD strike to Carl Pickens against Florida in 1990.
Reeves, who graduated with a degree in psychology, resides and works in Knoxville.
